AGROQIZIKI offers to provide farmers with the mobile laboratory service

X NIR mobile laboratory

Agroqiziki the local animal feed manufacturer based in Kakheti region has acquired X NIR mobile laboratory equipment.

With the portable laboratory equipment it is possible to measure the nutrients, such as protein, crude fat, ADF, NDF, ash in grains of maize and barley, crushed seeds, silage and bale in order to combine the balanced animal food appropriately.

Association of Georgian Agricultural Journalists is a member of International Federation of Agricultural Journalists

AGAJ became the member of IFAJ

Association of Georgian Agricultural Journalists was formed in November, 2017. The idea of forming the association raised at the International Congress of Agricultural Journalists held in South Africa last year. Within the facilitation of MOLI project, the head of Kakheti’s Khma (Voice of Kakheti) and media coordinator of the project participated in the congress.

The objective of the association is to build the capacity of those journalists and communicators involved in agriculture which at the same time serves farmers’ information better provision.

A well-informed farmer is a guarantee of having a strong village and at the same time means that the agricultural sector is getting developed in the country – said Tamar Sanikidze, the representative of UNDP extension program officer at the presentation of Association of Georgian Agricultural Journalists held at the Holiday Inn hotel, in 2018, May 28th. 

The Association of Georgian Agricultural Journalists strives to facilitate agricultural media sector development aiming at journalists’ and agro communicators’ professional advancement based on the intense collaboration with the sphere actors in order to provide farmers and relevant stakeholders with the professional information in a sustainable way. 

Study tour for veterinarians existing in Kakheti region

Within the cooperation agreement between ROKI, the local veterinary company and MOLI in Kakheti project, study tour for vet pharmacies, VET college specialists and private veterinarians existing in Kakheti region was arranged at Racha, Western part of Georgia. 

Tour participants visited Blauenstein Georgia, the modernized cattle farm and Erkvani, local VET college. Later on they have met with local veterinarians and farmers organized by Ambrolauri ICC.
