Study Tour in Moldova 01On 13-15 of March 2017 MOLI in Kakheti project conducted an experience exchange visit with participation of Elene Tkhlashidze, business enabling environment coordinator at MOLI in Kakheti project, representatives of VET colleges of Kakheti, MoES and Roki Ltd to Moldova. The purpose of the visit was to understand how short term courses for adults are identified and offered to farmers. What are the methodologies and what is the balance between practice and theory. 

For that purpose, set of meetings was organized in advance. During the visit MOLI team could meet with the HEKS Moldova, ProCoRe (local NGO), Agrarian University, Bratushan College, Nisporeni Professional School, livestock farm and could meet representatives from MoED of Moldova. 

Moldovan educational system uses Bologna model, as we were told. But unlike in Georgia, youngsters have to graduate from the colleges, including professional, lyceum, craftsmanship, etc. After that they are allowed to continue studying at the university. 

Willful landfill was cancelled at Karajala slaughterhouse

On January 18, the second business forum carried out in Telavi municipality. MOLI in Kakheti project facilitates to develop constructive dialogue between regional government and local business sector. In this regard, at the forums small and medium scale enterprises and municipality representatives attend and discuss on different crucial issues.

For the first time Georgia attended at International Congress of Agricultural Journalists

From March 29 till April 9, International Congress of Agricultural Journalists took place in South Africa. The congress was organized by International Federation of Agricultural Journalists, aiming to establish international network of agricultural journalists, local guilds and associations of agricultural journalists and develop agricultural sector in general.

Research on “Partnership models between farmers and enterprises in Kakheti region”

“Partnership models between farmers and enterprises in Kakheti region” the research was carried out by ISET Agrarian policy institute research center supported by MOLI in Kakheti project.
